Bay's can supply and lay solid and engineered hardwood throughout your home or project. Whether it's a full new build, a whole-house renovation or a feature room installation, we handle the full process — from species selection through to the final sand and coat. Getting the laying right is as important as the finish: proper acclimation, correct sub-floor prep and expansion gaps are what separate a floor that lasts decades from one that cups, gaps or creaks.

Timber species & styles

• Blackbutt — pale blonde, extremely popular in NSW, hard-wearing and versatile
• Spotted gum — warm honey tones, distinctive grain, great outdoor-to-indoor flow
• Victorian ash — light, clean, works beautifully in contemporary homes
• Jarrah — deep red-brown, rich character, period and Queenslander homes
• Engineered hardwood — real timber veneer over plywood, ideal for ground-floor slabs and humid areas
• Feature floors — herringbone, chevron, parquetry and other patterns on request

Installation process

• Sub-floor assessment — level, moisture content, bearer/joist condition
• Timber acclimation — boards left on-site before laying to match ambient moisture
• Mechanical fixing or adhesive depending on sub-floor type
• All expansion gaps, thresholds and transitions handled correctly
• Followed by full sand and coat to your preferred finish
